I was not aware that you could play online with steam, In my excitement, I rushed to make a windows live (fail) account to play. How do I play on steam instead, I am aware that I will loose all my saves and multiplayer stuff, It is worth it to get out of windows live. All my buddies are on steam and I bought the game to enjoy it with them, and pwn them. Also, how can I move my pre order key?

Thank you in advance, ShadowHotDog.

You can play "on" Steam if you bought the game on Steam, but it is not a Steamworks title and does not use any Steam features. It is still tied to Live.

So what you are saying is, I have to buy it on steam to use it on steam?

Yes, but it doesn't matter because all versions use Games for Windows Live for online.

I think you still have to use live to play. If you launch the game with steam, you can communicate with your steam buddies but you'll still have to sign in to live to play multiplayer.

You can still play with your friends who are on steam, just ask them for their Live ID and add them to your friends in Windows Live.

Steam is meaningless for BioShock 2. All patches and matchmaking are through GFWL, not Steam. The only thing the Steam version allows you is ease of initial download.

It may seem meaningless to you, but I would still like to have it through steam. Is there anyway I can do it? Thank you all for your help and input :)
