Heya everyone!!
Ya, like most of the threads I've seen in this BS2 situation, I have a problem with mine as well. So, here goes my explaination.
At first after buying the game on DVD I got home and installed it onto my pc. At first it worked perfectly. I could save the game without any problems and I could play the game fine. When I reach the stage of "Ryan Amusements" I needed to take a break, so I pressed the esc button to pause the game. All of a sudden my screen goes black and then a message pops up sayin that an error has occured and my pc had to shut down my BS2 program. It's the type of message where they say an error has occured and they let you choose whether to send an error report or not.
At first I thought "well ok then maybe I can run BS2 again later". I get onto my pc and run the game again and it successfully runs. Only problem is that once I managed to sign up onto GFWL and then click onto single player, my pc bumps me back out onto my desktop, shuts down the game and gives me the same error message again.
I know it's not a problem with GFWL because the game menu still runs fine after I've signed up, only problem comes when I click onto single player. I've tried clicking back into the game hopeing that by some miracle it would work again and I wouldn't have the error message but the same thing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game 3 times but the same thing occurs. I've tried restarting my pc even restarting my internet connection to see if that helps, but no luck either. Funny thing is that if I don't sign into GFWL I can run the game no problem, but I can't load my old saved games and I can't save either. This means I have to sign up on GFWL without a choice.
Some of my ways to fix this problem may seem stupid to some of you and I apologize. I'm no good with computers and computer codes and things like that.
So if any of you knows how to fix this unfortunate problem up, please help out. I know some of you may have become fed up with this game and have lost faith in 2K games and I don't blame you, you have your reasons. However I loved Bioshock ever since I've played the first one and I ain't given up so easily on playing the second one. So please help out.
