Game not filling entire TV

I'm playing the 360 version and there is about an inch of black on the top and bottom of the game screen. I tried switching it to wide screen, which made it fill the entire screen, but it looked like it was stretching to compensate, rather than looking normal. I don't have this problem with any other game. I did a little bit of research to see if anyone else has the same problem and apparently there's a similar problem with the PC version, and there is some kind of patch coming out to fix the PC version. Will there be a patch to fix the 360 version? Does anyone else have this problem?

The game is widescreen only, so I'm assuming your TV is 4:3.

So the only way to fix it is to buy a new tv? Or is there some other way to fix it?

Basically yes, if you consider it "wrong" the only way to fix it is to buy a widescreen TV.
