Multiplayer offline?

Does anybody know if the multiplayer is for online only? Or can you play offline with friends?

Another question, I pre-ordered so I will be getting Zigo d’Acosta The Fisherman &
Mlle Blanche de Glace The Actress, but I don't have online but I can use a friends online to retrieve them with the code I'm getting. If I get them and get them downloaded, would I be able to play with them with multiplayer when I play offline?(assuming it won't just be online). I really don't see a point in my getting them if I can't ever play as them.

I'm not sure if it would have like a split screen setup, but i think they might have a private match choices, I'm not sure.:confused:

Hmm, well my friend doesn't have online and I believe he wants to play offline with mates. :/

There is no off-line split screen mode. Only online, split screen could be added through an update, however. But when it launches it is online only, sorry:(

yee no shooter games but COD have split screen anymore.

Yea, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it was already confirmed a while back that there are no offline modes and no splitscreen. Sorry... :(
