My BioShock 2 Dream

A sleeping dream, not like a "I wish" dream. Well, it was both, but I was sleeping nonetheless. If you don't like long reads, this thread isn't for you.

I was (obviously) playing as Subject Delta, in a place what looked to be the Proving Grounds, but the game labeled it as "Cohen's Dance Studio". You know how real music plays from record players and such in BioShock 1? Well, there were speakers around the place, and they were playing Night Fever, by the Bee Gees. I saw what looked like 5 splicers in perfect sync dancing. I was so amazed at the dance moves, that I didn't even make an effort to kill them, I left them alone.

All of a sudden, I see a Little Sister scatter across the floor, then a 6th splicer does the same following the little one, then a Rosie dashes right through the dancing Splicers and rams the Splicer right into a wall, killing him instantly. The little one and the Rosie go walking around like normal, looking for "angels". I managed to kill the Rosie, adopt the little one, let her get some ADAM with no real challenge, then was brought with the choice of Harvesting her or letting her live and go in her hidey hole. I let her live.

After doing this, Tenenbaum said something over the radio like... "Why is it that so many in Rapture are driven by evil - driven by the craving of ADAM, but you... You are something different. Maybe you're the only good thing left in Rapture. For that, I am grateful. I send another reward your way." After I find her teddy bear reward, I just snoop around for supplies and such. I find a splicer messing with a jukebox, and he changes the song from "Night Fever" to the song Theme From a Summer Place. Cliff Richard's version. The splicer turns to look at me, and he charges at me with a pipe, then the game takes control of itself, Delta grabs the Splicer by his face, and throws him to the ground with epic force killing him instantly. I think I woke up after that part. Yes, I want this game that bad.

Totally awesome, I wish I had dreams like that. I would be playing during the day, and continue my adventures in my sleep...BioShock 24/7 LoL

i think i had a bioshock 2 related dream last night, just cant remember it in such great detail

i think it was down to a lot of moral choices like saving a group of people or letting them die in order to chase after this bad guy who was wearing a jester mask, also i had a flamethrower, it was basically the incinerate plasmid when it sprays fire but like the flamethrower from world at war :)

I forgot to mention my other small dream. The details were faint though. This splicer was standing on some balcony type thing threatening to jump and kill himself. Some other splicers were watching, and one of them said something like, "It doesn't have to happen this way" or something. Funny thing was, the suicidal splicer had a jar of ADAM in his hand for hell knows why. So the other splicers probably didn't give half a damn.

I was given two choices. Just wait for guy the kill himself, and fight over the ADAM he had with the other splicers. Or, I could catch the guy when he jumps, pissing off the other watching splicers because they wanted the ADAM. I chose to catch the guy, and had to fight off the other splicers after I put the suicidal guy down. The guy I caught was so thankful, he gave me slightly less than half ADAM and a (I think Incinerate!) upgrade, and said I didn't need so ADAM much because I had the suit to protect me. However, the guy followed me around for a bit and protected me.

Oh man, this just keeps getting better. A friend of mine saw this thread, and I don't know if he's a fan of the upcoming game itself, he reads somethinginthesea very often.

I may be a bit off, because I don't remember everything he said. He said he was playing as someone named Jay Meltzer. Like, as if the game lets you play as multiple people, and not just Delta alone. Anyway, he said a Big Daddy was pinning him down or something, and he used both his feet to kick him away. Then, he pulls out this icepick that had the ability to split into 4 smaller sharp... things... He stuck in the Big Daddy's head and he died instantly.

The best part is, he said he had a plasmid/tonic that could make his arm stretch out farther to hit people. The last thing he said was, the music that played in his dream was the music that plays during the part where Ramirez was in the helicopter in Modern Warfare 2:

I had a dream last night that I was playing campaign as a splicer with my sister. I was IN rapture though, not playing it. We went towards a room and the ceiling caved in, a bouncer had fallen through. We had no weapons, but on the ground was a shotgun. I picked it up, and it had 1 bullet in it. I shot the Bouncer once, which instantly killed him. We heard a splicer coming down a hall, so we retreated into a room, where we instantly closed the door. I had no bullets left, and the door burst open, knocking my useless shotgun to the ground. The splicer had no weapon, and looked down on the ground. Spotting the shotgun, he picked it up, and pointed it at me. I saw a tiny pistol out of the control of my eye and picked it up, firing at the splicer. No bullets. He laughed maniacally, and pulled the trigger of the shotgun. Nothing fired. He said a very "Cheesey videogame-esque" way: "Ohh Crapp" I then knocked him out with the pistol and don't remember anything else. Scary dream. But fun.

I think he subconsciously combined MW2(music and icepick), Prototype(super strenth and extendable/whip arm) and Bioshock all at once. 3 of my favorite games.

I actually had a Bioshock 2 dream last night. In the dream, I woke up and looked at the calendar on the wall, realizing that it was the 9th. Exited as I was, I ran downstairs. Mom asked me what I was so exited about, and I replied;

"It's the 9th of February!"

"What? It's the 9th of January, not February."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" :eek:

I had a dream the other day. I was delta and I had to clear out this house. After I did that a guy walked in and he said bio2 is going to be 5 minutes long and very crap, which is a lie of course.

If they've smuggled in some Disco, might as well smuggle in some early New Wave too...

(Does smuggling continue after the events of BS1? I guess we'll have to play BS2 to find out, and see if we hear any Beach Boys, Donovan or what-not throughout...)

I have bioshock dreams but they're rarely clear enough for me to remember them in detail and all my dreams are always ridiculously abstract which doesn't help.

I had a dream a while ago where I was a splicer and I was wandering around during the time of Delta. I was a brute version of a spider splicer, I think, because I was able to jump insane distances, not only vertically, but horizontally as well.

So yeah. I was a brute spider splicer and my weapons were a screwdriver and a power drill, and I was wandering around Rapture killing other splicers for their ADAM in highly gruesome ways, and then I saw Delta and started to kinda stalk him. Then I attacked him finally, and the dream ended right as the fight started. It was a great dream. xD

I have bioshock dreams but they're rarely clear enough for me to remember them in detail and all my dreams are always ridiculously abstract which doesn't help.

Mine always play out like movies...there are different camera angles and everything. It's intense.

Well sign me up on the list of obsessed lunatics because I was blessed with a Bio dream last night as well.

I was Delta, in the ballroom of Fort Frolic, standing before Cohen's Quadtych. I shot the quadtych with my cannon and it burst into a thousand pieces. Immediately after that happened, I heard Steinman say "a thousand pieces" and Cohen got on the radio and started screaming at me. He then appeared on stage where the quadtych used to be and started throwing fire at me. I wasn't able to do anything but shoot icicles at him, and I was trying to hit him but I kept missing. I finally got him, though, on the floor of the ballroom and I went up to the frozen Cohen. I heard him say (somehow) to "Please give an old artist a second chance" in a defeated voice. I didn't shatter him but instead walked away, and somehow I understood (in dream logic) that he would never become unfrozen, a cold statue to last eternity, and Atlas said over the radio "Now Cohen is your Masterpiece."

And I woke up.

Like instead of playing as Delta, I was the Big Sister who was told what to fight by Tenenbaum. And Ryan was back in the form of a golden bust wheeled by Sinclair while Rapture was actually a city at the bottom of the New York Town Square ice rink-place o__o;;...

I had another one. Yes I know, I need a life and a girlfriend, but I've been waiting 3 years for this game. When I take Tylenol PM's, I usually dream about the last thing I was thinking about.

Anyway, I was playing as Delta again. All of a sudden the radio thing appeared in the bottom left corner like it did in BS1. A photo icon thing appeared with it as well. I think the chick in the picture was called "Amanda Pauper", because the named appeared under the radio like before. I'll try to paraphrase to what she said, "Step in this chamber, Delta. Let's see what's on the inside." So I walked into this vita-chamber looking thing. All of a sudden there was this flash and I got teleported out of the chamber thing, but the suit was still inside.

Then I noticed I could see regular human arms in the first person view. It looked like Jack's hands, but the skin looked pink, like a skin layer was missing. I had to do some small job for this chick then come back to the suit. I couldn't stand in lighted area too long or my health would drain. I assume his skin was that sensitive.

I once had a sort of "half-dream" about BioShock. That night I had found Masha's dead parents. I was up all night trying to sleep, but I kept being haunted by what I had seen. At a certain point, I lapsed into a half sleep, but still couldn't get the image of the corpses out of my mind.

Sorry to bump an ancient topic, but this doesn't deserve a whole new thread, and I needed to share this. I had another BS2 dream, and this one was a bit clearer due to the drugs I took beforehand.

I'm sure you guys have seen me make posts about the band "The Lettermen" making it into BioShock 2, that's of my favorite classic bands of all time. I was Delta, just walking through a corridor, then all of a sudden I get those flashbacks that Jack had with that screaming noise in the background. Instead it wasn't a picture I was seeing, it was a full motion flashback. The song "Where or When" by the Lettermen was playing, and a non-diving-suit version of Delta was dancing with Sofia Lamb on some dance floor. Sander Cohen walked in saying, "Gentlemen" and offered the two some wine. They both declined and kept telling each other how much they love each other. The flashback ended with Sofia saying something like, "You're my everything..." and it echoed out. I was back in the corridor, and I fell through some thin metal vent and I woke up.

I had a dream where I was gathering Adam with my little sister and we where attacked by splicers. I tried to protect her but the splicers took me down and killed me, and then took her.

Another one was when I was exploring Rapture and came across an audio diary titled "Becoming Atlas" or something like that, and it was by Frank Fontaine. Don't remember what the audo diary said again.

I once had a dream that I was slapping recordplayers from BioShock 1 off little tables in Eve's Garden. I was doing that, over and over again.

Until I heard a major scrap (from slapping over the recordplayer) and I woke up.

A splicer (female) had stolen my chemical thrower and threatened me with napalm, unless I found a splicer mask for her (my subconsious is processing SITS related things, I guess...) So I walk through a hallway where at the end is a poster saying turn around. Not wanting to, I fall to my knees and break through the floor.
