Hi,
I just read an article about famous sound tracks from games and it mentioned Bioshock.
At that point I noticed that I have not heard any music in Bioshock at all until now (I am in the mid of the game).
The music volume slider is set to maximum just as the other sliders. Besides the missing music anything works well including all sounds and environmental sound.
Sound mode: Stereo
EAX: Disabled
I have not found anything in the Knowledge base or the forum that anybody else have this problem - hope anyway there is a solution.
Bioshock v1.1 (German)
Windows XP SP3 32bit
Audio Hardware: Realtek HD Audio ALC 882
Edit: I just made an experiment: I renamed the folder "Content\Sounds_Windows" (this folder contains AFAIK the music files) and started the game and it worked as before. No music but sound as usually. Therefore it looks like the problem is that Bioshock does not recognize/use this folder and it's content.
