I've seen notes here and there that Bioshock will not support SLI; does this mean that creating an SLI profile for Bioshock will be completely useless, or does it just mean that it won't take *full* advantage of SLI?

It's a shame if this is so; I'm surprised a game of Bioshock's calibur doesn't support SLI.

I saw a note from someone that said that Bioshock won't take advantage of SLI, but I don't know if this is valid.

The SLI page http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_ecosystem.html, doesn't list Bioshock in its list of SLI certified games, but games like Crysis are already on the list.

I guess we'll find out for certain when the new ForceWare drivers come out today or tomorrow.

As for the extent that Bioshock makes use of SLi I can't comment but I will say this.

Just before playing the demo (yes I did source it from somewhere other than FilePlanet) I installed the 163.11 BETA drivers from the nVidia site. I won't presume to suggest that there is in any way official support for Bioshock in that driver release but when I went to create an SLi profile for the demo there was already an entry for Bioshock in the list.

I certainly don't recall adding one and I don't believe it was there previously.

Just go in under your Nv control panel and make a custom profile for BS. Then spend a day or 2 tinkering with it till you find that magic mix of FPS, eyecandy, and e-☺☺☺☺☺.

There......problem solved

Also, according to Dark_Figment the beta NVidia drivers have a built-in Bioshock profile. So, it sounds like it might be supported after all. If that's the case, I'll be beyond ecstatic.

SLI was only awesome back in the days of 3dfx.
