Dude, that splatter effect is perfect for the lil' sister! She is a bloodthirsty killer after all, just use it as a background blood splatter or splashed Adam on a wall, add a broken needle injector under it! There is so much you could do. This is going to turn out excellent, keep up the good work!

P.S. Every artist makes a mistake/accident. When sh** happens, make it work or turn it into something new! It's what we do!:D

Ok, I made the resolution higher and started working on it more. I've added more detail such as rust and a more grungy look to it, and made the lighting a bit stronger.

There's a huge difference when you compare it directly to the first side-by-side.

I still don't have much detail on the right-hand side(well, his/its left), but I might get around to that some time later.
And I know experts say you should have all the basics done before you start adding detail, but I'm just doing whatever interests me at the time. I'll start work on the body soon.

Basically I drew a mock up of the lithograph "Pick Your Plasmid" using graphite. Overall very happy with it but found the little girl quite a challenge as in the original her face is illuminated by the lightning, and thus not much detail to go by.

I altered the colour (to give it an old parchment kinda feel) using Paint Shop Pro 8.

Thanks, that particular drawing I did on A3. I'm currently working on another project at this moment, but when that's out the way I plan to do another, using different techniques and watercolour, to give it a more "graphic novel" feel.

The beauty of advanced paint software, is that I don't need to draw it onto one sheet of paper as I did with that drawing, (running the risk of one **** up destroying the entire piece) but build it up in layers, working on each individual aspect seperately, upload and doctor it using the software, before placing them together.... rather like a jigsaw.

I can't wait until the Art Book arrives, there I will find inspiration galore :D

Was bored this afternoon so decided I should finally get around to making some fanart so I did. It's not of anything directly from the game, but I was kind of inspired by a poem from William Butler Yeats called the "Second Coming" and how it related to the fall of Rapture. It's hard to draw anything decent in MS Paint, but not impossible. Saw a few people that pulled it off, and thought I made a few decent ones myself (they have nothing to do with BioShock though). But it takes hours, and lots of trial and error in my case.

edit: anyone know how to take screenshots on the ps3? kinda like the "prt sc" function on pc's.

That's great! It really conveys Cohen's tormented feel. I like the writing in the background. It reminds me of the Rat Man dens in Portal.
