The audiodiaries were an importane part of Bioshock 1. They introduced to us a lot of the characters and helped to explain the history of Rapture, but will they be necessary in bioshock 2? We already know the history of Rapture, the civil war, etc. Do we really need more elaboration on that? I could see maybe a few audiodiaries discussing the first prototype big daddy we're playing but that's about it. Another thing if there were audiodiaries in the game who would they be from? Would they be from old characters or some new ones?

Most definetly. 10 Years is a very long time, considering how dilapidated Rapture became in the space of a few short months.
The audio diaries will be even better in the squeal, as they will hopefully flesh out some of the more trivial character's in the Bioshock universe.

rapture was a big, big city. there can be alot of new characters with interesting stories to be told. So yes there should definitly be AD's. they really told the story in a very cool way.

No offence but why does everyone think the city parts that we saw in Bioshock 1 was basically the entire city?? I mean last I checked we only saw less than 1%!!! I mean there are probley so many different areas and characters we've yet to see...That's why there should still be audio diares...and the fact it tells a story in a very different techniuqe

Those of us on this forum may know the story of Rapture, but new players don't. Also, I doubt we'll find the *same* audio diaries - they'll be new ones, covering new info.
