I've got kind of a worry on my mind.
it seems as when a game comes out for both pc and console, and they both have multiplayer, the console usually is tied behind the pc version.
pc usually gathers more players, patches, and customization.
bioshock 2 seems like it might be this kind of game, where not alot of people compared to the pc version are going to be enjoying and embracing multiplayer.
anyone else see what I am saying?
for examples:
the console and pc version of team fortress 2
the console and pc version of counter-strike( i understand pc came first)

I don't think BioShock will focus too much on the multiplayer. The game is as good as it is without a multiplayer component. I personally don't see the game being too popular (multiplayer that is) when the likes of CoD: MW2 is coming out. I mean, they may fix a few patches but that's all I see. If they add DLC, it has to be a bonus level or something, not multiplayer maps. Because it's the single player of BioShock that counts, not really the multiplayer.
Do you get my drift here?

To paraphrase something from Game Informer, if it's allowed :
There is Multiplayer in BS2 due to the ccomplaints of it's lack in BS1, beyond this they don't reveal anything specific, but they go on to say that alike BS1 - BS2 will hold the single player experience as the central focus of the experience, to quote directly "Single-player is obviously BS1's legacy and it's extremely important to us" from the horse's mouth of Jordan Thomas the creative director

Nice to hear that, I guess that calms everybody down who thought that multiplayer could shrink the singleplayer experience with forced co-op and such.
@buddygz: Honestly I dont have any fear. Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead are games, where patches and such maybe come after PC updates, but not that late or with less quality.
Customization depends on the console limitations (gamepad), online limitations (possible mods: PS3 easy, 360 hard) and the team behind the game. For example, the FarCry 2 level editor on consoles is a great piece of work.
I guess that 2K Marin will do well. After Bioshock 1 2K Boston said they liked to have a multiplayer, but it shouldnt end up in a gimmick without heart and substance. Since its now a confirmed part of the game, I guess they will give the proper treatment to this feature.

ah i see
by the way I of course would rather them focus on single player more DURING the development than multiplayer. If the console multiplayer is neglected, i think ill live.
but I definately can see 2k giving equal if not a little late treatment to the multiplayer

console and pc gaming are pretty unrelated, multiplayer included. i probably wont ever see the pc multiplayer, whether or not its better than the console.
