bioshock is a great game but so badly made. you just have to check out forums to see that a lot of people have so many troubles with this game!

and i really don't know what the hell 2K team is doing to fix those???

i ve got a good config (dual core, nvidia 9500 GS, 3Go) to play bioshock. everything updated! still there are a lot of problems with the sound (specially with vista)! and i finally found out a way to make it work!

but still, the game was crashing every 30 min!!!

so i installed the 1.1 patch supposed to resolve a lot of problems. Actually, not really, now during the loading time, the game crashes!
this is more than annoying and i'm trying to stay polite!

message for 2K team: if you want to lose your customers, keep doing the **** yo dou !!!

actually the 9500GS is not really that great for even Bioshock not to mention most other modern games. its going to be a little slower than the older desktop 8600GT. you should be able to play at 1024x768 on mostly max settings though.

do you have the latest drivers for your pc because even laptop drivers are now available on nvidias site.

there is a lot of people that have similar crashes and it would be nice to figure this out. I have installed Bioshock on numerous comps over the years and only had 1 single pre patch crash that never happened again. also besides the wonky feeling mouse on the pre patch game I have never had any other issues with the game so I guess I am lucky.

*If* you are running the game in XP SP2 compatibility mode to sort out your sound woes in Vista then remember to force DX9 (add -dx9 to shortcut) or you will get random crashes. XP SP2 mode doesn't like DX10 graphics...
