First of all, I’m sorry about my English grammar. I bought Bio Shock about a month ago and was installed to my PC. I didn't know that my VGA card doesn't support this high graphic game. Anyway, after I've launch to the game I couldn't see picture nether mouse cursor. It's very dark screen and they were some black grid. So I bough a new VGA card AUS EAH4870. I also upgraded RAM memory to 4G. Which it’s should be enough to run this game. I also installed a new CD burner which it’s now is my drive D.

After I’m finished upgrade my PC. I had been login to the game and it’s asked me to fill serial number twice before I can play and it’s seem like everything was fine.

But when I want to play it’s for the 3rd time. It’s asked me to fill serial number again. I’ve tried to activate the serial number for many times but the game doesn’t launch at all. I wondering is my serial number is not working any more? Or they are something wrong with Bio Shock game exe? I had been google about my problem and I’ve found BioShock Revoke tools but when I run the program, it’s shown this message “This application is not activated on your machine, the revocation can not be performed” Have anyone have any idea how to get Bio Shock launch after fill the serial number? I’d appreciate for all suggestion.

Two questions:

1) What are your system specs? Operating system, CPU, etc. This will help to figure out the problem.

2) Is your computer connected to the internet when you enter the serial number? Even though you're allowed unlimited activations, I do believe that the game still needs to contact a server with the serial number.

With this extra info, hopefully someone can help more.

Hi nzgeek

Thanks for reply.
Here are my system:

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)
CPU : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 3072MB RAM DirectX Version 9

Yes, my computer was connected to internet when I enter serial number. It’s seem like it’s connected to the server but when I clicked on “Start” there was nothing happen. I believed that I only used this serial only 3 times when its asked me to enter number and that how I was log into the game succeeds. Now it’s doesn’t launch into the game anymore.

Another question. Do you have any idea how is the revoke tool work?

thats the pc you upgraded to 4 gigs and a 4870? first off with a 32bit OS you cant even use but 3 gigs of ram. next sticking a 4870 in that pc with a slow outdated single core cpu is a complete waste of money.

Windows XP should be able to use all that RAM, thanks to a little something called PAE. However, not all of that will be made available to a single application at one time.

I'm not sure about the processor, but it's possibly a little on the old side. Intel has released at least 2 major processor revisions since then.

As for the original issue, I'm afraid that I can't help further as I play BS on the PS3. However, hopefully someone here will help out soon!

It's a pain but try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it.

Thanks guys, I appreciated all the respond. I bought this PC nearly 4 years. Maybe it’s time to upgrade the mother board? I’m not very good with computer. To be honest, I got a help form my friend who very good on computer to installed 4870 VGA card. But if the problem comes form my computer spec then why I can accessed to the game one? I mean after I’ve installed new RAM, VGA card and a CD burner.

I also a bit curious that why my PC its shown only 3072 MB instead of 4 MB. I’ve already re-install the game but still not launch after I enter serial number and click start. Guess I should send this problem to 2K.
