Bioshock Theme

Is there any way of removing the sound effects that go with the theme, without removing key tone?

The graphic themes are beautiful but whoever put in those sound effects was VERY foolish.

Did 2K not realise that such tones would via repetition drive the PS3 owner round the bend in irritation?

If it is possible to get rid of these sound effects and retain the themes can you please explain otherwise I will have to bin the themes.
