lost the electric bolt plasmid

I'm almost at the beginning of the game and I lost the electric bolt plasmid suddenly but the fire power appeared. Is it a bug?

Hopefully you will eventually be able to buy Electrobolt 2 and can go back to the levels through the bathysphere to get the things that require electrobolt; I'd just save up ADAM for Electrobolt 2, or if you're at the start of the game then just restart unless you have a really hard time progressing through the game. I find Electrobolt to be really useful once you get to that space where your weapons do not do as much damage as they did to the weak splicers on Medical Pavilion, but you cannot really upgrade them yet, and it takes up that one slot on Med Pavilion where you have three plasmids but two slots and no gene bank; also its useful for hacking. Above all else, there's nothing quite like a fistful of lightnin' now is there?

You might not have swapped them? Are you in the Medical Pavillion? One should perhaps check the Gene Bank.

When you pick up a new plasmid, you are given a menu to place it in an empty slot, or replace an old one. If you just kept clicking through then you could well have accidentally replaced Electro Bolt with Incinerate, you will get the opportunity to get it back when you find a Gene Bank machine in the next level.

Yeah, its kinda a shame that there is not a gene bank in Medical Pavilion, especially since its the level that I go back to the most before I go to Point Prometheus. I remember when I went and replaced Incinerate with Electrobolt and did not defrost the funeral home place and had to go back there later...

Do you only have two plasmid slots? You need to buy more in order to equip more plasmids. They don't disappear, they just get stored in your gene bank.

Dear friends, I actually read the manual and all became clear. I had a lot of adam so I bought more slots for my plasmids! Anyway, it's a pity though that I have a 'slow down liquid' gene. I could go back and hack everything, especially the safes but I believe I'll hack lots of things in the future so, let's continue!
