Correct me if I'm wrong, but you'll be giving them $60 for year old code. $60 because they signed an exclusivity deal with Microsoft that screwed over PC owners (editor) and significantly altered the game design (removed complexity to allow XBox360 controllers to play the game).

Kid - time to get wise. 2K ain't doing anything for you other than taking your money and laughing to the bank.

But sure. Put effort into making them a free splash screen (free graphic design work? nice!) so they can charge you full price for year old code.

i think you are misunderstanding all of this.

while i can't comment on whether or not you think buying BioShock PS3 is worth it (that's a decision every consumer should make for himself) i can clear up this thread.

this BioShock PS3 Theme and fankit is 100% free, made by me, because i wanted to make it for the community. you can download it on the PlayStation Store for free. it's called a store because that's what Sony calls it.

as for the contest, this is another thing for the community, because the members of the Cult of Rapture and this forum really like contests. and the winner will not only get some great prizes, but they will get their Theme put up on the PlayStation Store ALSO for free.

so now you have all the facts and you can feel as you want about them, but at least can report on them truthfully. :o

again, you are mistaken. also, please do not compare anything i do to another company's work. i do things my way, as i believe is most honest -- please judge me on my work, and not the work of other companies that i have no say or role in.

the Theme i put up today i made myself. i designed it, i had help from employees, and we put it together.

the fan Theme that will be put up at the end of the contest will most certainly display the fan's credentials.

stick around these parts a bit longer and you'll learn how i do things. i give a lot of fan appreciation. because BioShock fans rock.

some people just amaze me. Bioshock is no less of a game simply because it's a year old. Not everyone has access to a decent PC or an Xbox 360 so it's the 1st chance for some people to play it. And lastly, perhaps most importantly NO ONE IS BEING FORCED TO BUY THIS GAME. So why do some people act like they're being "screwed"? I still enjoy playing the game as I still crave the Rapture experience. And I almost never replay single player games whereas I've probably played through Bioshock 5-6 times now between the 360 & PC versions. It's just got something special to it.

Again, thanks Elizabeth, as a true fan of Bioshock I appreciate you making this theme. It's sad how some people have to get into some childish diatribe over whether or not the game is worth it. Don't want it ? Don't buy it! Simple enough for people? :rolleyes:

Seriously what's the deal all this attacking lately, it is getting really old when did this place become like this. It seems to be getting worse.

If you don't want to buy the game good for you don't, I plan to because I want the new extras, and new gameplay modes. Anyone who hasn't played the game now gets too.

This is how I felt when MGS2 finally came out for the XBOX I was thrilled to get a chance to play it even if it had been on the PS2 for almost a year.

And MS (and this goes for all PS3-only owners), I assume you don't have a 360. If the game wasn't being released on the PS3 you would never have had this chance to play - it might as well have not existed. Now you do get a chance to play it, and you have to pay full price.

Hehe, "year old code". Bioshock is ten times better than most anything on the PS3 at the moment. Be grateful.

Ok there seems to be some confusion, this is an old thread the contest ended on September 30th 2008 it was for the PS3 release of Bioshock.
