Invincible Big Daddy?

While in Point Prometheus, i came across a big daddy i needed some items to invent things so i decided to kill him to get them, but when he was down to no health he was still alive and kept attacking me, i shot round after round of shotgun ammo but was still standing. Quite annoying. :confused:

Hey, I've had the same problem with a Big Daddy! The damage wouldn't reduce on him :(.
