Why can't i buy a game load it up and away i go.
Why do i have to pay for a game and go through this crap?
Steam,activation tools,blah,blah blah!!
Paid good money for a game and what do i get,GRIEF!!!
Nothing!!! Not a thing. It won't do ANYTHING!!!
No activation code, no nothing!!!
How long should it take to download this activation code?

I'm sorry, but could you give us less of a vague letter filled with the same old, tiresome complaints and actually elaborate more on your problem besides just saying, "It won't do anything". Isn't the activation code given on the front of the game manual? Can you make your complaint a bit more specific?

Try rebooting into "safe mode with networking". See if that fixers it.
