Hi everyone,
Has anyone else experienced their wins being recorded as losses on the PS3 version? I have won at least 5 matches online, but on the Leaderboard I have a record of 0 wins and 9 losses!!??
I noticed another thread has queried why it is so difficult to get matches multiplayer sometimes...this is also a problem that is driving me mad.
That, and what appears to be some kind of lag cheat being utilized by people...Where they are somehow lagging out the game where you have no option left but to quit (or sit around waiting). I know this is another issue that has been raised by other members, but it is rather disconcerting that no response has been made by 2K...as yet anyway.

I gave a specific name of a person, along with photos, but the Sig mod here closed the thread. I honestly think it's important to discuss that potential exploits may be happening so that the community can identify the frequency of things like a potential lag cheat, and if specific people (especially top players) are using them to get to the top ranks.
Regardless, I'll chat with Elizabeth about it. Can you provide some details on the lag exploit that you believe you may have experienced? When did it happen in-game? Was it right away, half way through, etc. Were you winning? Do you remember the name(s) of the players you were playing with?

Cannot remember names, as it has happened quite frequently...i'd say every 5 games something like this is happening. It may just be the quality of the server I suppose...because sometimes it is happening about 5 mins into a game.
Although on the other hand, if people have become aware of a way to win games by cheating...I would imagine that they would do it as soon as possible into a match, to save them playing all the way through...as it would enable them to rise through the rankings rapidly.
Basically what I have observed is pretty much exactly what other people have posted...The game is being played normally and then:
1. The grinding gears icon comes up...and just keeps going.
2.The only buttons that work are R2(to bring up The Progress Panel, and the Start button to pause the game...nothing else works, such as moving your magnifying glass, or looking at your city screen etc).
3. Occasionally you get text coming up on the screen saying 'Waiting on (players name)'. although this does not happen every time.
4. The other players in the match who are witnessing the same thing, start pausing the game (probably because it's the first time it's happened to them and they are wondering what is going on!!).
5. People start leaving the game, as they obviously cannot be bothered waiting anymore, and probably assume the game has frozen.
I would imagine this is simply the usual exploit that losers who lack the character to actually attempt to achieve results through their own skill, and instead need to cheat to obtain a ranking which enables them to appear brilliant at the game in question...they will simply be flooding their connection with data, and lagging out the game...well I think thats what happens anyway, from my experience on shooters and Pro Evolution Soccer...
I still would like to know why my wins have not been recorded though, as that is obviously a bug within the game itself...or a problem within the multiplayer side of the game.

I have come across exactly the same problems as you on the PS3 version. The other day won 5 consecutive matches on head to head, but my record shows 2-2. Also had it crash on a few occasions when the cogs keep turning. Finally have played GOTW a few times but my score is not on the leaderboard. Makes it feel kind of pointless playing online when wins aren't registered.

I would also like to point out that I have contacted 2K support regarding this matter, and emailed an admin on this board asking the same questions...and I have yet to receive any kind of response.
In my opinion 2K are COMPLETELY aware of the problem, and it shows a complete lack of respect to their customer base that they have failed to even acknowledge any of our queries regarding the problems we are experiencing...which means, again in my opinion...that they don't know how to resolve the issues, or that they know they can't...
