I finally bought BTS tonight and I'm having trouble with the installation. I glanced through some of the existing threads and didn't find anything related to this (my apologies if the solution exists and I overlooked it). When Beyond the Sword is in the process of checking for DirectX Components, the installer simply exits. There's no "cannot complete installation" notice or anything along those lines, it just closes.
I've tried the "Copy files to a desktop folder and install from there" suggestion, though I get the same results.
System specs:
Windows XP Professional
Service Pack 1
AMD Athlon 3200+
2.21 GHz processor
512 MB RAM
If it makes any difference, I also have the Warlords expansion installed.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
