Wrong. My question was not answered, nor has my support ticket been answered. Locking my threads will not stop me from asking for either a full refund or getting the problem FIXED. I'd appreciate it if you can find out how I can return this game and get my $50 back.

The Fairlight release was good enough for me. :)

Also, there has still been no reply to my support ticket for over a month.

Anybody out there? Issue remains unresolved, patience is wearing very, very thin.

Any way I can obtain a refund for this game? Haven't played it since a week after release due to this bug. Without sound, why bother playing?

Hi sorry to hear the problem persists. From all of the customers playing the game this problem is unique. I will continue researching the problem, but in the meantime, please try adjusting the number of sound channels the game is using

Navigate to the directory containing the Bioshock.exe file (default is 'C:\Program Files\2K Games\Bioshock\Release')
Undo the previous fmod change
Under '[FMODAudio.FMODAudioSubsystem]' change 'MaxChannels=XXX' to 'MaxChannels=32', leave MaxStreams and StreamBufferSize as they are
Save, and then perform this same change to Bioshock.ini as well

Apologies if i offended if i have caused offence bt closing a thread. If you would like to supply your ticket number you have with 2K Technical Support i will ask them to take a look at it and deal with it ASAP.

I have passed this on to our 2K support team and you should hopefully have a response from them shortly.

Thank you. Unfortunately, this is the fourth or fifth time it has been passed on and usually they reply with a BS reply just to appease me, then abandon the ticket for weeks until I post here again and the cycle repeats. That's why I'd like my money back.

That just about sums it all up don't make a fuss or you will be kicked that's pretty harsh considering folk have paid good money for a game that Sucks.

That sounds you like bad mouthing them, don't you know you can't point out that you paid for a product that is defective and are unable to get help or a refund.. doing that might lead to others asking for there money back as well...

Sadly, I'd also like a refund. I bought the game at launch and have yet to be able to properly play it. It took me two full weeks to get a response from email support. Even then, they said the same crap they've said on here a million times.

"Install the newest drivers for your video and sound cards". THAT DOESNT WORK! I've said numerous times, yet I just keep getting run around in circles with the same suggestions.

This whole process is getting very old, and I'm growing more and more frustrated as the days go by. I want my $50 back. If I wanted a paper weight, I could go to Office Depot and get one for $5 and pocket the other $45.

I'm also sick of seeing peoples threads locked when their "question has been answered". When they post in their main topic that installing current drivers doesnt work, then you suggest that to them anyways and then lock the thread, that isnt answering a question, its just avoiding the real issue, and thats the fact that this game was released WAY to soon with WAY too many bugs.

If you really wanted to help the consumer out, it'd really be nice if you guys could come up with some sort of refund plan since a lot of us are tired of getting the run around, and being told to sit tight.

GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!
