hi all,
I've been suffering with the choppy sound problem so common in this game. As I am a completely persistent person with too much time on my hands, I decided to scour the web for answers, and I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but on the official FMOD Audio website, there is a forum link which describes EXACTLY this issue. The thread also states that the issue is common to several sound cards, but mentions particularly realtek onboard sound. Apparently this is a driver issue, and can easily be fixed by changing the DSP value in the sound files. Now, I'm no programmer, so I can't do this, but it appears to me to be an EXTREMELY EASY FIX that would take minutes to acheive, so please 2K, can you just release a file that corrects this so that us poor, long suffering realtek owners can play without the annoying sound bug? If this turns out to be a dead end, at least something has been attempted, and quite honestly I think that's all people really want...
