I looked, but alas! no VALVe thread. So here it is.


Does anyone here play Team Fortress 2? And if so, what's your favorite class/play style? (Just trying to start a conversation...)

Not too much anymore. If I'm on with a friend, I like the combo of heavy/medic. A coordinated combo can rule the map. I'll play either class. If I'm on solo, gotta play spy. It still amazes me after all these years. Just when I think I've seen it all, I load a map I've never seen.

I hope Half Life 3 is a full length game. We've been kept waiting too long to be fobbed off with just another HL2 episode (I loved ep1 and 2 but they came out fairly swiftly).

I doubt that they will release another short episode after 5 years.


And I used to play TF2. Medic is by far my favorite class. The only problem is that, especially as a Medic, you need to play with people you can communicate with and will actually work with you rather than go off and do their own thing. And since most of my friends that play TF2 aren't EU based I can't really do that. Eventually I kind of stopped playing.

My favorite classes are definitely medic and sniper. They're incredibly useful to the team, and without being right out in the action and dying all the time. I'm able to stay alive fairly long with them, as long as I have good teammates. I don't get that too often though.


Also, I'm pretty sure HL 3 will be a full game. I mean, they can't have spent 5 years just to release another small episode. There'd better be some connection to Aperture in it, you saw the Borealis at the end. Maybe even... an Aperture Science chapter! *drools*

Well the Borealis is a Aperture ship and <span>Episode 2 ended with you going to find the Borealis. Or at least that was supposed to happen before the thing happened.</span>(Episode 2 spoiler). So it will probably play a big role in EP3.

Nah, I doubt that. I don't see how they could make that work, unless there really was an Aperture chapter and you lost it after that.

I'm they would want to keep Portal and Half-Life apart gameplay wise, though.

I play TF2 occasionally... I'm not very good, though. Normally, I like playing the spy or sniper type characters, but for some reason in TF2, I tend to be most comfortable with the Scout; Spy as my second choice.

I'm a great Sniper, Medic, and Pyro, but I'm miserable at the spy. I'm average at every other class I guess.
