it may of been too hard and could be a reason as to why they did not implement them, but i would of loved to see that more than just houdini's used offensive plasmids. even looking at some of the more advanced splicers with electricity coming out of them, they never had any extra ability but resistance to. im a pc player and i have not had the pleasure of minervas den, but do fiery brute splicers throw fire balls?

it seems like even in bioshock 1 you were above most by being able to use plasmids, while everyone else probably only had armoed shell and something that made them buy items at cheaper prices lol. i would of loved while bashing a splicer in the head with my wrench getting struck by lightning from behind (ex bioshock 2 opening)

any comments?

I would have enjoyed the challenge of facing enemies with plasmids. Big Sisters used Incinerate 2 and Telekinesis every now and then which was great, but for the most part the fighting wasn't very dynamic with plasmids. In BS 2 splicers could have had you mess yourself up with Hypnotize Big Daddy similar to the opening scene, Winter Blast would have been an anxiety trip as you helplessly watch them chip away at you, effective use of Electro Bolt if you ran through water, Insect Swarm, Decoy, etc. Occassionally there would be someone with Security Command which was a fun challenge but most splicers were left under-utilized. Even the Houdini splicers become less novel after the first or second research segment with the "Houdini splicers movements are easier to predict" bonus pretty much just making them appear wherever you're looking.

I think Firey Brutes mostly just set the stuff they throw at you on fire.

Would have been cool for some of the splicers to have the Camo tonic.

@precipice66 i agree, or a plasmid like chameleon, but could be slightly invisible until they strike.

@laforzadimente also with those who used fire and such, they were easily stopped with telekenesis. though it would give me more of a heart attack than the game already did, letting them have winter blast and a decoy plasmid that made it look like a splicer was hitting you but when hit by you it disappears would really make you freak out.
