In this thread we shall discuss other stories that have thematic and narrative similarities. Books, movies, shows, games, whatever.
Here's a few I could think of.
Citizen Kane, The Manchurian Candidate, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Metropolis, Dark City and classic DC comics even.
Anybody else got more?
Oh, and check out the Batman TAS episode titled "Deep Freeze". Astoundingly similar. There's also an episode of Batman Beyond called "Splicers" I believe. Not nearly as similar as Deep Freeze, but it does have gene splicing! And besides, it's Batman Beyond, what's not to like!?

I just picked this book up. As I walked through my local bookstore, I caught this out of the corner of my eye. The steampunk vibe was felt instantly. I grabbed it and checked it out a little. It's awesome. It really gets me pumped for Infinite.
Steampunk, alternate history, zombies, Seattle, YEAHR!

It might be just me but the "marvelous misadventures of flapjack" and "Alice in wonderland" remind me of BioShock.
Also Alice in wonderland had some connection to There's something in the sea.
