View Full Version : Thread to post interviews

Here a new one with Ken Levine that I haven't anyone post yet. Maybe we can keep a thread running of these things?

I like the idea as an official interview thread.
Has anyone else noticed that they are recycling their answers to different interviewers. I heard him talk about the Oreo statement before. It has been the same questions over again and I guess we get the same answers. Just like asking what's two plus two? it's always four. (unless big brother tells you otherwise)

Yeah, I also think it's important to realize that the media blitz has happened all at once because the announcement was pretty sudden. What else are they going to say? There is only so much they can talk about when it comes to the game, only so much that's set in stone and can be openly discussed. We've got a ways to go before Infinite.
I might actually say the same thing about a lot of the threads on the forums - long discussions that lasted a week are restarted a week later in an entirely new place by mostly new people.

I'm looking forward to the interviews that will be coming after gameplay footage is shown.

Pretty good interview, if this is going to be an official thread for interviews. As it grows, I think it would be good if undeniably could edit his original post and put the links of interviews provided perhaps with the date they were done on. What say undeniably you down to do that?

That's not a bad idea seeing that as we move closer to the release date the links will be scattered everywhere, it's good to keep things organized.

Yeah, that is the reason for it, I know 2k forums the mods/posters would organize links for various topics on the first post of the thread, so someone doesn't have to go page after page clicking on different links.

I'm up for this, but for some reason can't seem to find the edit button for my posts right now. Am I just totally losing it? I've edited at least 15 or so of my posts in the past and now I can't find the bloody button.
EDIT: It's appearing on this post, but not on any of the others. Weird. I'll give it a try again tomorrow.

Don't worry you're not crazy. After about an hour or so it goes away.
Yeah the 2k forums do it nicely. I don't know why these forums get rid of it. There has also been a problem that occurs when you edit your post and someone quotes you. It will end up looking like them quoting you before you even post.
Check out the beginning of this thread with me and killer7ita posts.

This interview at Gamescom is pretty good and differs from the other recycled ones. Both Ken Shawn are featured.

We can after a certain amount of time or pages, consolidate the links into a new thread to keep things easy to find. I bet a few more interviews may pop up when the gameplay demo is released and with PAX coming up, then I wouldn't be surprised if it goes quiet for a bit.

Yeah, there will definitely be a shortage of interviews in the coming months, as all that can be said about Infinite will be said...until they come up with another announcement which will make everyone, including me, very excited.
After all the events coming up soon, there should be enough information to hold us until the new info arrives...hopefully. I must talk about this game, haha.

Agreed - sounds like a good plan. We could also do separate threads for the discussion of specific interviews, if the offer a lot of detail or things to talk about... it's also nice just to have them centrally located, even if it can't all be at the top as we would like. (I checked again and still no option for editing.)

It was a good interview. It doesn't give out anything new about infinite. It has more about irrational and what they're doing. It talks about their timeline, books/movies, and promotion(SitS).

I wonder what sorta prototype ideas aren't gonna be integrated into Bioshock:Infinite anymore, and I hope by having these notions dropped out, it won't make it any less than a perfect game...

Actually a brief summary of the interview would be the inverse of the title (since there is nothing personally new), so it would be something like "the past of the future's past" haha! XD

You're kidding me, right? You're fearful Irrational Games is cutting things out of Infinite because the ideas are just too wonderful? No, you drop ideas from a project like this because they don't fit well in your game. Sometimes you cut things because they're bad, other times it's just because they don't belong.
Both adding and removing is simply the process of making a creative work perfect.
