Exactly what the question says. Is there any chance we'll see another BioShock made by Irrational Games?

I think we might see another "Shock" game from Irrational, but not Bioshock. They've already done System Shock, now BioShock. Maybe EarthShock? ;D

Well 2K has already said there's going to be a BioShock 3, so it's not necessarily out of the question, I would imagine. I just don't know where the could take it.

Things like far off continuations and movies can change or be quickly canceled from what I've seen from the video game business, as well all know. I've also heard claims of Bioshock 3, as well as a Bioshock Movie and Bioshock Book but I'm weary about these projects being completed.

I have a feeling once 2K is done with its main BioShock trilogy, Irrational may decide to return to that universe... Perhaps...

A part of me really wants Irrational to make another Bioshock, but I also think that they could make something better and establish a new world for us gamer-folk to explore. I'm also a little worried that if the game keeps getting sequels, some of the magic will be lost.

Well, technically, isn't BioShock 2 in development at HALF of Irrational Games? You know, the 2K Australia half.

I don't think that will happen...from what Ive gathered, I think they are ready to try new things. If they did return to Rapture, I'd be pretty dang happy...but I'm not expecting it.
Superhobo you should make Lunarshock lol I'd play it

Personally I would love to see another Irrational BioShock. Irrational has proven they can make the world work, but 2K Marin hasn't shown us anything. I mean, BioShock 2 may turn out to be great, but a new BioShock with Irrational back at the helm would be epic. I doubt they feel like they're completely done with the franchise, even though the ending didn't leave anything open for a sequel. Perhaps they can make a game where Rapture is still the great city that it was before the events of BioShock?

Like a Bioshock where you build up your Rapture business from the ground up? Cause thats all I can see from a Golden Age Rapture. Or a 3rd person version of that. That doesn't seem quite their style.
P.S. Also I agree that continuing the series could kill some of the magic and they should work on building new interesting worlds and stories instead of dwelling on old ones.

Maybe not that, but play in Rapture during it's fall, to set up perfectly for the first BioShock. Maybe play as Andrew Ryan or Frank Fontaine or something. Doesn't anybody else think this would be fun?

I think there is always an option for Irrational Games to work on the Bioshock franchise, depending on what suits them, such as the tone and aspects of the game. They also have the choice to develop new intellectual property which they can develop further, into more sophisticated franchises. So overall, yes there is a good chance.

Would you personally like to see another one made by them?

I think most Bioshock fans would. I however, think that it's 2K's bit now. I believe Irrational Games has found a much better concept to run with. I mean, think about it, Irrational Games isn't designing Bioshock 2, and they knew that we'd be hooked if they did. I really can't wait to see what they're working on. If it was important enough to ditch Bioshock 2, then it MUST be good.

Yeah, I agree. it must be big, at the very least. I would really still love to see them give it one more go, though. I mean, they did make another Freedom Fighters, right? i wouldn't rule out another BioShock just yet.

i think bioshock 3 should be about somebody from the surface in NY immigrating to rapture right at the start of when it was being built and then the game takes you how many ever years later after the event when the civil war was breaking out and rapture was on the verge of destruction

If not a Bioshock 3, I would like to see it continue to an AeroShock, which would be a city in the sky similar to that of Rapture except perhaps in a different decade, such as the 1970's?

New IPs please! I love sequels but they are a dime a dozen nowadays. The trilogy seems to be the "in" thing to do right now.

If there were to be another BioShock I would hope that the project returned to Irrational. That being said there are members of the 2K Boston team that are now in Marin so it will not be exactly the same set up by any means. Ajara vs. Oceanic... changes will happen but perhaps the changes are meant to be? :D

If there is another bioshock I hope like it's Irrational that does it, and it's a single player game only. The multiplayer was fun but not the type that would keep me coming back.

I agree with you, though I do have high hopes for the new muliplayer DLC.

I'm holding out for single player DLC, I doubt i'll be returning to the multiplayer anytime soon.
PS: That like in my sentence isn't suppose to be there. Like, I totally don't talk like that - rolls eyes at self -
