Hi all, this is a bit of a rant thread and I apologise but it may be useful to you if you have a darkling statue of your own...

First time poster, long time 2k fan, just thought I'd express my disappointment in the quality of the darkling statue I recently received. I recently won a competition to win one of these neat little guys and I was quite happy to be displaying him on my bookshelf.

Woe is me when I found that after sitting him on my shelf for less than 30 minutes after unboxing him and assembling him does his arm fall out and his fingers break off. As a bit of a collector, I felt a bit of myself die when this happened, but figured it was still a neat figurine to show off, so continued to display him. Not more than a day later did his other arm fall off and his other finger/s broke off once more.

Now, I'm still a fan of 2k, I won't start waving a flaming pitchfork or anything and join an angry mob, but as a fan I'm rather disappointed, especially if this is one of 1800 darkling figurines, it's basically destroyed itself in the span of two days since opening and I'm probably going to bin it now. I have no right to complain provided I won this figurine in a competition, and I am happy to have been so fortunate, but if anything can be learnt from this, I'll never get a collectors edition that comes with a 'figurine' or statue or anything of the sort, especially not from 2k if the quality is at this level.

If you do have a darkling statue of your own out there and haven't had any problems of your own, you're rather lucky, I wish mine was still in good condition but I don't think all the hobby glue in the world will save the little guy and the collector inside of me. Oh and if you do have one, and the arms are relatively easy to take out. Glue them in.

Not much point on a rant thread, so my question to you out there, if you do own any such merchandise from 2k, have you had such quality problems with them in the past?

Still a long term fan of 2k but in terms of this experience, my faith has been shaken pretty badly.

Thanks for listening to me complain and my sob story =/

tl/dr: won a darkling statue, it broke in the span of two days, not too pleased about the quality of 2k's figurines
