I'm playing BioShock (anyone daring enough to start calling it BS :D) the 2nd time around, and I am almost positive almost all the 40s-50s music from the record players are different!!

So I'm wondering if anyone knows if the music is simply random everytime you play a level again or if the game some how stores somewhere the number of times you beat the game, and next time around it changes the music around all together.

The music is set in certain parts of the level, like most games except Oblivion for an instance.

However, it's true that it does randomize when you start fooling around with the jukebox, but that only lasts about 5 seconds of the song it's playing.

The jukeboxes I am aware of, and some music which can not be changed, but the music from the random record players feels different.

If by the jukeboxes where you press "a" to active them and they only play music for a few seconds before skipping and ending, then yes those seem to randomize.

If by the jukeboxes were you are unable to start to music then no they play automatically.

If by background music then no, each area has its own "theme" of music and if you leave one area and enter another diffrent music will play to either draw out more suspense as in something is going to attack you, or make it creepy and eriee with dead bodies everywhere.
