It's the only thing that I really missed in Bioshock: Jack's shadow. It doesn't seem like a lot, but in games like F.E.A.R. it really made a difference for me. There were at least a couple of times my own shadow freaked me out!
And we all agree Bioshock is perfectly lit... remember those spider-splicer shadows coming through a hole in the ceiling? Great stuff, but when I look a wall, or even the ground, there is not even the faintest clue that I'm really "there".
Anyone else with me on this?

You were genetically engineered not to have a shadow.
Also, there are instances in the game where you can see disembodied shadows (theres one pic out there of a shadow on a ceiling where there is no splicer anywhere nearby).

Yeah I've seen that, also shadows of splicers on a second floor can be seen on the ceiling of the floor below.

Its a side effect of all the plasmid use. Just like the ghosts you see in System Shock 2.

lol. No those are bugs in the game. The Ghosts are side effects from plasmids, not the shadows.

The ghosts themselves are bugs... Levine said he didn't remember putting ghosts in the game...

I thought I saw my shadow for the first time in Arcadia. But then it said "hello beautiful" upon this I fall out of my chair and then deficate into my underwear.
