cant pick up weapons..

hi,

just got bioshock for pc. just got to hte place where you have to pick up the wrench and break down some rubble to get into rapture..

but i cant get the wrench, i see it, can look at is description, but it just stays on the floor..

win vista ultimate 64bit
8800 GTS
bioshock v1

all latest drivers... game working fine but cannot get the weaponsany ideas.. is there a special key for picking up the thing...

The only thing I can think of is that, maybe your hotkeys arn't correct - check your configured controlls. If not that then I dno..

when i hit E, i get a key press sound, think its ok for key assignments but will take a look..

keybindings are fine.. e to use item..
just cant use any items... sooo frustrating.. cant play the game cos of it...

its not those CS type where u walk over it and it automatically picks up

Whe I first saw this a while back, I was just hoping it would be that problem.

It would just be comical.

i know you have to use 'e' to pick up the wrench, but it will not let me...

ill try a different key binding see if that helps...
