I thought you used your fists if you don't have ammo... and I thought I read somewhere that the boot is used as a special move only.

Hmmm could be I have not tried neither, but I am fairly certain it does exist in the game somehow :)

I hit every key I could think of and "mighty boot activated" did not appear. I really hope you don't just punch things...

If you have no ammo you use your fists. The "mighty foot" has been turned into one of the execution style moves you can perform on near-fallen foes to finish them off (which also refills a portion of your Ego bar).

So they pulled from god of war as well? *sigh* I should have realized that after having to hit space repeatedly.

Yea i did the "mighty foot" move last night so it made it in there at least as a finishing move.

Overall, I'm feeling like this game has too many "improvements" for my taste.

I don't know. It still feels like Duke to me. The guns are very true to the original and the baddies as well, to me it seems to fit. Although Duke looks a bit young i mean its been 14 years

pleasing everyone was never going to be easy, probably impossible... but from what little I've seen it's got enough of the old Duke style in it, the "improvements" aren't too bad but I accept that the original game is a real dinosaur now ;)
