Seriously? You couldn't find ONE Farsi-speaking person to do the voice of King Darius, the great PERSIAN king? And why use Hebrew instead? This is ridiculous people!

I believe this has been brought up in the past in the Civ V forums. I'm going to push this thread down there.

This was discussed. The conclusion: The Persian King speaks Aramaic - not Hebrew - because this was the language of that Persian king. The person who was upset by this was Persian and thought that Persia had been insulted. It was explained very well here that this is historically accurate. King Darius speaks Aramaic for the sake of authenticity.

In particular, Darius I standardized Aramaic into what is now referred to as "Imperial Aramaic". If he's indeed speaking Aramaic, then he's speaking the language he more or less created.
