Is there a way to add a unit limit/cap per civ?
I find playing on a small map with 6 players, the ai has a unit on every tile of the world then when the round is over the AI cant move its units causing the rounds to take 10-20mins between rounds :(
Id like to have a slider with a unit limit say between 10-100 or something to help prevent unit spam
this would destroy the game mechanics instantly, there is a unit cap in place with the game already. You can't afford em you can't have em . ... . . . . .unless you are a cpu player

There is a unit cap already in the game based on difficulty level, cities and population. Isn't that working?
I think I read a post somewhere about the consequences when that cap is exceeded, but I don't remember what forum/site or thread.
The cap is shown on the left hand column of the Military Overview reached via the scroll.

Potential solution (or not): Play on a larger map.
Or try different map styles,
... or finish the bleepin' game before it gets to that stage. ;)

The Unit Cap only applies to the human player. At higher difficulty levels the AI players (AI, barbarians, city-states) may simply be producing too many units for one's video memory.

NO, because 1upt is perfect and its the future and if you don`t like the carpet of doom, go back to civ4 etc....

Wow. Amazing.
The Japan/Greece border in that is a little fuzzy though.
Off topic/ How do you get that points thing in the top right corner? I've only ever seen the points under Diplomacy.
