not receiving food bonus when allied with maritime CS

I am allied with a maritime city state and i am suppossed to receive one extra food in the cities (+3 in the capital). That is not happening. The food counter only accounts for the terrain food. Any reason?

Are you sure your allied and not friendly?

Maybe another nation is also allied with that city state and has a higher rating than you (for example you 70, other nation 90 'friends points'). The city state feeds only the nation with the highest rating even if 2 or more have over 30 or over 60 'friends points'.

Ok, I´ve figured out what happens: the bonus food from the allied city state is inluded in the city tile resource income. Sorry for the silly question. Now, going back to kick some butts ;)
